Wollongong’s newest music venue is being applauded for supporting a diverse range of artists from drag queens to DJs, art exhibitions and now offering free family-friendly jazz concerts on Sundays. The Shy Postie, on lower Crown Street, opened in March as a coffee shop by day with cocktails by night, and operated by friends Blake Smith, Tsubasa Sherwin-Ozawa and Michael Bunten. “They’re changing the scene, they’re really making a mark on the live music scene in Wollongong,” said Eric Dunan, jazz musician and Director of Bands at the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music. “It’s one of the venues right on the street where people are walking by,…
